Trials HD Review

Well I thought I would get the ball rolling quickly and post up my Trials HD review.

When I first heard of the game I did actually wonder if it involved you being a judge in a court or something and certainly did not sound great! However I found it was a motorbike game and started to get interested in it!

I did decide to buy Trials HD and thought it sounded quite good. I would now call the game like a motorbike racing puzzle game! The main aim of the game is to get from one place to another in as quick a time as possible and with the least amount of crashes. However to get to the finish line you will have to pull off some cool stunts and try to stay on your feet (well bike) and trying to manoeuvre your way around the landscape.

The game is mostly great fun and very addictive and you will find yourself coming back to it for more and more. You will however get frustrated when on the hard difficulties especially on the last few levels are stuck on the same section about 50 times in a row and then realise how to do it and conquer it and then repeat the whole process again for the next section about 10 sections after it! However there are leaderboards to prove your times and you can also watch videos of how the top people did the level and can even see what buttons they pressed which can be helpful.

To get through the game you will have to use common sense and have lots of patience. You will need to work out that you should tip the bike forward when landing at this time and then reverse and then do a flip and then accelerate as hard as you can at certain points and you need to basically keep the riders balance while trying to get the quickest time - a hard task!

There is also a skill mode with a few minigame which is nowhere as good as the main game but is a good distraction. One of these involves rolling around in a giant ball and trying to survive for as long as possible!

There is also a level creator which is great fun and has lots of options and if you spent a little time you could make some great tracks to play on. One problem with this though is the fact that you cannot download anyone's custom tracks and only those on your friends list which could stop you from getting some awesome tracks!

The graphics are really cool and a mix of 2D and 3D and old and new. They work really well and the game looks great!

Overall trials HD is a brilliant game and lots of fun and one I would recommend!

The game is available for 1200 Microsoft Points from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
